Everyone who starts the OBE journey has questions since this is such a new experience.
Here’s a question asked on a forum we follow that is pretty typical. Let us have your comments or responses and we’ll pass them on.
“Can i ask you guys on here about Lucid dreaming and if you use any particular techniques that help this occur. The last one i had was at least ten years ago and i cannot remember for the life of me what it was i was doing at the time that brought them on… I didn’t know what they were back then and i was pretty dam freaked out by them… but now…. i would love to have one again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.”
Many of our readers are familiar with the idea of “social consciousness” which describes a sort of general mindset in a population. It is one of the strongest binds we have with other people on this earthly plane. It is also a “un-consciousness” which has us running on autopilot along with the crowds. It makes us want to fit in with everyone else.
But we also have our separate, individual consciousness which is made up of all the experiences we have had in our life, plus a lot of what we have brought with us into this life. This is the mind that can free us from the unconscious social-approval world we often inhabit. It is the place where we say, even if the whole world is against us, “This is my Truth!”. And then we live it.
I got off on this binge because the wonderful writer of the blog “Travels of a Dream Walker“ has addressed this issue in a recent post in which she grapples with the idea of the collective consciousness. She often makes me think deeper about things. Here is an excerpt:
The Monroe Institute has a new Outreach Facilitator in WA State who will be holding workshops in the Yelm/Rainier area, southeast of Olympia. The first one is scheduled for April 30 – May 1, 2011 at The Center for the Creative Arts, 302 Binghampton St, Rainier, WA. Contact telephone is 360.458.1311.
Yael Klein will be facilitating a Workshop called “Excursion”. As the name may suggest attendees will work with expanded states of awareness, but in a supportive group environment.
Yael has been a TMI facilitator since Jan 2011 and brings to this a long history of working in the realm of exploring human consciousness and our untapped potentials as human beings. As she says, her passion is to help those who seek to find more about the mystery of their inner self, and to discover their hidden potentials.
